Paint. Sip. Have Fun.

Updated: Jan 6, 2023

A Paint & Sip event in Stratford-upon-Avon

Wine is art. It’s culture. It’s the essence of civilisation and the art of living. Robert Mondavi

Art and Wine is a perfect pairing, as has been repeatedly depicted through many great works of art over the ages. Whether in an ancient mural, a feast scene from the middle ages, or a modern still life- even entire portraits have been dedicated to wine!

Some might say that a bottle of wine can be a work of art in itself. Each bottle is unique in shape, label, colour and contents. Like art, different wines match different tastes and we’re a big believer in “there’s something for everybody’.

It’s no surprise then that this classic combo has inspired a new trend in social events. Instead of just meeting up with friends for a drink or dinner, people are opting for social experiences that offer a little more than bar hopping. A mix of an art class with wine is a great excuse to get together a learn new skill whilst sipping away on a glass of fizz.

Our Paint & Pinot events are held at Welcombe Hills Vineyard, just outside Stratford-upon-Avon. The Tasting Room overlooking the vines is the ideal location for a mindful art experience. Everything you’ll need for the workshop is included is the ticket price (canvas, paints, paintbrushes, palette, music and teacher), including the magic ingredient for getting that creativity flowing – a glass of English sparkling wine!

The event is perfect for beginners and enthusiasts (of art or wine), with absolutely NO EXPERIENCE necessary. Maybe you’ve not picked up a brush for years. Or maybe you’re keen to try a new skill. Whatever brings you to a Paint & Pinot event, our resident artist, Sara Huxley-Edwards, is on hand to guide you step-by-step through the class. It’s not about being “good” or “bad” at painting – we’ll show you how you find your inner artist and help you create your own expression of a landscape painting. You get to take home your masterpiece at the end of the event too!

Experienced artists and painters may also enjoy a creative afternoon in our Tasting Room overlooking the grapevines, but these events are ideal for beginners and enthusiasts who may not have picked a brush in years and want to try a new skill and enjoy some good wine. just relax and enjoy a mindful art experience with a glass of local English wine. It’s not about being “good” or “bad” at painting – we’ll show you how you find your inner artist and help you create your own expression of a landscape painting. You get to take home your masterpiece at the end of the event too!

The main focus of the Paint & Pinot events is on relaxing and having fun. It’s an experience that can’t be recreated at home easily, so is a great excuse for exploring new places. It’s a great excuse for a social event which also serves a purpose that stretches beyond “having a few drinks”.

Why not give it a try? Our next Paint & Pinot event is on Saturday 4th February 2023 at 2pm, with tickets at £50 per person to include all art materials, instruction and glass of wine (or non-alcoholic beverage).
